Generator Installation and Repair in Cypress, TX

Engineers First, Which Changes Everything

Here is what sets us apart. A generator is an engine, not just a panel of wires. PBR Power Systems was founded on a background in mechanical engineering and years of hands-on work maintaining heavy duty equipment. Most companies send an electrician; we understand the combustion, lubrication, and moving parts that decide whether your unit actually fires up when the lights go out. That mechanical depth shows in the details, from load calculations to fuel line pressure to the long term health of the engine itself, and it is a big reason our repairs tend to solve the problem the first time.

Generac and Kohler Installation Done Right

We are a Generac certified installer and we also work with Kohler, two of the most trusted names in residential and commercial backup power. Because we handle the electrical, gas, and permitting ourselves, most whole house installations wrap up in a single day, with the system typically operational within the same week once inspections clear. You get one accountable team instead of a chain of subcontractors passing the job around.

Our generator services across Cypress include:

• Whole house standby generator installation for Generac and Kohler systems
• Generator repair, load testing, and inspection
• Preventative maintenance plans that catch small issues before storm season
• Commercial installation and service for retail and industrial sites along the 290 and Grand Parkway corridors
• Because factory certification lets us tap manufacturer warranties, eligible repairs can often be covered at little or no cost to you.

A Clear Process and Honest Pricing

Every project starts with a site assessment: we evaluate your electrical loads, confirm your fuel source, and find placement that meets local code. From there we handle the permits, install the transfer switch, connect the gas line, and run multi point safety testing before we hand it over. You receive a straightforward estimate up front with no hidden fees, and financing options, including zero percent APR plans, help spread the cost.

Cypress Neighbors Who Trust Us

We are a family run company, and it shows in how customers talk about us. Homeowners regularly mention owner Phillip Ranew and the crew by name, praising quick response times, clean work sites, and honest troubleshooting. One reviewer switched to PBR after a poor experience elsewhere and pointed out how our factory certification saved them on a warranty repair. That kind of reputation matters more to us than any sales pitch.
