Generator Installation and Repair in Clear Lake, Houston, TX
When a Gulf storm rolls in off Galveston Bay, Clear Lake is often one of the first Houston communities to lose power and one of the last to get it back. PBR Power Systems helps homeowners and businesses across Clear Lake stay powered through hurricane season with dependable generator installation, repair, and maintenance built for coastal conditions.
Why Clear Lake Homes Need Reliable Backup Power
Living between Houston and Galveston has its rewards, but the tradeoff is real exposure to tropical weather. Residents here remember how Hurricane Ike tracked directly over the area in 2008, how Harvey dumped historic rainfall across the Johnson Space Center corridor in 2017, and how Hurricane Beryl knocked out power for the vast majority of CenterPoint customers across the region in July 2024. For neighborhoods around Nassau Bay, El Lago, Taylor Lake Village, and Seabrook, multi-day outages are not a rare event. They are a seasonal expectation.
That reality changes what a generator needs to do. A standby unit here has to start reliably in high humidity, ride out extended runs on natural gas or propane, and integrate cleanly with electrical systems in everything from midcentury waterfront homes on the canals to newer subdivisions further inland. This is the environment PBR Power Systems is built for.

Standby Generators Sized for Your Property
We install and service Generac and Kohler systems, two of the most trusted names in backup power. Whether you want a whole house standby generator to keep your entire home running or a right sized unit to protect essentials like your AC, refrigerator, sump pump, and medical equipment, our team helps you match the system to how your property actually uses power.
The process is straightforward. We begin with a thorough site assessment, reviewing your electrical loads and your fuel source, then confirming the best placement for local code compliance. From there we handle custom power selection, permitting, professional installation, transfer switch setup, fuel line connection, and rigorous safety testing. Because we manage the electrical, gas, and permit work ourselves, most installations wrap up in a single day, with systems typically operational within the same week depending on inspections.
Repair and Maintenance That Keeps You Ready
A generator only earns its keep if it starts when the grid goes down. Trouble is, these systems sit idle for months, and that is exactly when small problems quietly develop. Our repair and maintenance service catches those issues before the next storm does.
We diagnose starting failures, engine faults, and performance problems, and we offer maintenance plans that keep your unit tested and ready year round. Several PBR customers have noted how quickly the team responds and how issues get solved on the first visit, including factory warranty work handled without the runaround. For Clear Lake property owners who depend on their generator during peak season, that responsiveness matters.
